SEO Brief Generator

Give a writer everything they need to compete for one search.

Turn a target search into a writing brief: what ranks now, title and meta options, keywords to cover and an outline.

From 5 credits · price shown on the button before you run

A keyword is not a brief.

Writers briefed with a keyword alone guess at structure and miss what the ranking pages cover, and editors end up rewriting. SEO Brief Generator reads what ranks for the search and returns a brief a writer can start from.

The brief, step by step

The steps down the left are the brief.

Enter the search you want to rank for and the brief is built in the order a writer needs it, from what ranks now to the meta information.

Up to eight pages ranking now, with title and URL, so the writer can see what the brief is measured against.

What it settles before writing starts

  • Which title and meta description to publish with.
  • Which sections the page needs to compete with what ranks now.
  • Which secondary keywords to cover naturally in the copy.

A way to use it

For example: briefing a freelance writer

  1. Enter "how to choose a crm".
  2. Pick a title and adjust the outline headings.
  3. Copy the brief as Markdown and paste it into the writer's document.
  4. When the draft is back, check it with Content Optimizer.

What it costs

Questions

Can I export the brief?

You can copy the whole brief to your clipboard as Markdown and paste it into any editor.

What is in a brief?

Up to eight competing pages for the search, up to six title options, a meta description with alternatives, up to 18 secondary keywords with volume and difficulty, and an H2/H3 outline of up to 40 headings.

Can I change the outline before writing?

Yes. The brief is built in steps (competitor articles, general info, secondary keywords, structure, meta info) and the suggested outline in the Structure step can be edited.

What does a brief cost?

5 credits per brief, shown on the button before you generate it.

Does it write the article?

No. It gives a writer what to cover and how to structure it. Use Content Optimizer to improve the draft once it is written.

What it does not do

  • It does not write the article.
  • The brief reflects the results at the time it is generated; regenerate it for a later edit.
